Tim McGraw has announced a series of dates for a U.S. tour set to launch this spring. Dubbed McGraw Tour 2022, the trek will kick off April 29 at our very own Walmart AMP in Rogers. “Love You Like I Used To” singer Russell Dickerson will be along for the ride to support McGraw, as well as rising acts Alexandra Kay and Brandon Davis. This will be McGraw’s second time performing at the Walmart AMP, first making an appearance on the Rogers location’s opening lineup in 2014.

Tim McGraw is an American country singer whose albums and singles have routinely topped the music charts, making him one of the genre’s most popular artists. McGraw was one of the top “Young Country” stars to emerge in the 1990s. With his high-pitched, rather growly voice, he became known for his ability to stir up a range of emotions, with everything from jumping dance tunes to heartfelt ballads. His hit songs include “Indian Outlaw,” “Don’t Take the Girl,” “I Like It, I Love It” and “Live Like You Were Dying.”

McGraw released his latest album Here on Earth in August 2020, which came about from a period of forced inactivity due to the pandemic. His restless nature eventually got the best of him. “I was sort of like, alright, I’m getting a year off without realizing it, and maybe I’ll enjoy it,” he told Rolling Stone. “Two weeks into it, I got so antsy and I’m ready to play a show, so I’m trying to figure out what to do.”
McGraw is currently starring in the Paramount+ series “1883,” which is a prequel to the popular drama “Yellowstone.” His character, James Dutton, is the great-grandfather of “Yellowstone” character John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner. McGraw stars alongside his wife, Faith Hill and quintessential country actor Sam Elliott.

Fans can get tickets now to Tim McGraw’s McGraw Tour 2022 at the Walmart AMP by calling 479.443.5600 or visiting amptickets.com. Patrons can also purchase tickets on-site at the Walmart AMP and Walton Arts Center box offices in Rogers and Fayetteville, respectively.
